Connecticut Seaside Home
This seaside retreat is a breath of fresh air. The landscape lends itself to an easy, carefree feeling of swinging in the hammock, listening to the birds soar overhead. The homeowner has small children so an element of fun and safety had to exist. Pathways of stone set into the lawn connect major use areas such as driveway, front door, garage, outdoor shower, back patio and deck. The lot is tight but the opportunities for outdoor activities abound.
Jamestown Waterfront Residence
This spectacular waterfront property is built for entertaining. The circular stone driveway has extra parking for additional guest by way of a turf paving system located on the front stretch of lawn. Special garden and spaces turn up all over this amazing property. There is an herb/ edible garden located just after the wooden gate. There is a stone walkway that leads to an underground grotto for the Jacuzzi. There is an invisible edge pool located on the top deck that blends nicely into the ocean view. The backyard slopes gently down to the boat dock which has a beautiful stone gazebo located nearby.
Old Stone Manor Restored
This property is one of the oldest surviving residences in Watch Hill Rhode Island. It has been beautifully and lovingly restored back to life. The landscape features large open areas of green with a white split-rail fence. The beds have traditional New England plantings that allow the home to shine.
Snug Harbor Project
This bluestone terrace overlooks the pond with breathtaking views from above. The patio is tucked into the hillside and wrapped in an 18" seat wall for safety. The patio is large enough for use of a hot tub, a grill and plenty of seating and tables. There are two sets of stairs leading down to the patio made of granite. Landscape lighting is wired through the wall for a gentle down lighting.
Surfside Narragansett Retreat
This beach getaway comes equipped with everything to have an entertaining summer. The landscape was designed to give privacy where privacy is needed and to be open aand breezy when called for. The plants were selected for color and liveliness. The client had three small children and fun was a necessity in the landscape as well as safety and seating. The water feature was created to give the soothing sound of the ocean without the unsafe open water collection basin where small children and animals could get hurt.
Watch Hill Estate
This Watch Hill property required a total renovation. The new shingle style home lends itself nicely to the natural plantings that surround it. A lot of attention has been paid to detail with the use of real stone walkways, columns, driveway, walls, and pool deck. The side yard is a serene and open place for walking, playing or just sitting.
